United Way Funds YMCA Community Camps this Summer (2023)
The YMCA of Medicine Hat has been awarded $30,000 from the United Way to directly offset the cost of licensed summer day camps. As a result of this funding, families will save 29% on registration fees for YMCA Community Camps, paying only $120 per week per child.
"At the heart of healthy communities are families who have access to affordable, safe, and high-quality child care services," says Sharon Hayward, CEO, "This funding from the United Way will help us to continue to provide top-notch summer programs that support children’s holistic development in a safe and fun environment. We are incredibly grateful to the United Way for their support."
Registration for these licensed programs is now open and can be accessed through the YMCA’s online member portal. Programs operate Monday to Friday (excluding statutory holidays) from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm throughout the school summer break.
