Employer Benefits
Employers will be selected to partner for our Workplace Training Program based on their ability to provide on-the-job training or to facilitate a paid work experience component and their ability to provide ongoing employment after the Workplace Training Contract is complete.
Employers have access to two separate streams of our Workplace Training Program.
On-the-Job Training occurs at the worksite of the employer. As the employer, you agree to hire and train an individual for a set period of time, to a maximum allotment of 26 weeks. Participating employers will receive an on-the-job training contribution for the full duration of the learning plan.
Paid Work Experience is a short-term (3 week maximum) paid work experience that helps Albertans gain employment quickly. The program is intended to support individuals to perform specific work duties, to become familiar with employer worksite standards, safe work practices, and to demonstrate their competencies and skills.
Through both On-the-Job Training and Paid Work Experience, we will assist employees in gaining full time employment by connecting them with employers.
