Free pick-up for donations every last Friday of the month, 1:30-5:00 PM. Declutter your space and support our Y Connect Campaign to ensure everyone can access YMCA programs, regardless of financial circumstances.
Pick up’s can be scheduled below!

We accept good quality donations:
Used clothing, electronics, furniture and linens, household items, sporting equipment, toys and antiques.
We can not accept the following items
Adult paraphernalia
Baby furniture & accessories
Blinds/window coverings
Box springs/mattresses/bunk beds
Chemicals of any kind
Glasses/frames/spectacles
Helmets/face protectors
Infant bath seats/rings
Kites/Kite strings
Large appliances
Lasers
Lawn darts
Opened medical/hygiene products
Plants
Playpens
Portable bed rails
Safety gates/enclosures
Ski & snowboard helmets
Soiled/wet clothing/linens
Stuffed animals
Tanning equipment
Televisions older than 5 years
Toys in flexible film bags
Toys with magnets
Donations will be received at the discretion of staff. Dumping of items is prohibited as per Bylaw #1805. These premises are monitored by security cameras.

About Y Treasure Thrift Store
In June 2024, the YMCA of Southeastern Alberta launched the first YMCA Canada Thrift Store to further our mission of giving back to the community. Since then, Y Treasure Thrift Store has become an essential part of Medicine Hat—offering affordable shopping, reducing waste, and supporting local programs. Beyond providing unique finds and budget-friendly options, the store promotes sustainability by diverting goods from landfills, creates jobs and volunteer opportunities, and generates funding for YMCA initiatives that strengthen our community.
Why We Need Your Support
To expand our impact, we are launching a FREE Donation Pick-Up Service for our community. A pilot program using a rental van proved highly successful—bringing in more and higherquality donations that sell quickly and generate greater revenue for community programs.
To make this service permanent, we need a cargo van. This will allow us to:
Increase donation volume and quality
Support seniors and families downsizing
Provide a unique service as the only thrift store offering pick-ups in Medicine Hat
Your sponsorship will help us purchase this van and grow a program that benefits the entire Medicine Hat and surrounding community.
