HOW Child Care Program
Now providing extended child care to ages 1 to 12 years!
This YMCA Employment Services Program offers extended child care hours to working (and looking for work) parents and care givers out of our John Millar Child Development Centre.
Lack of childcare during the evening and weekend poses a large barrier to many working parents. This program is designed to deal with that barrier directly by offering additional child care hours for children aged 1 to 12 years.
Extended Hours
6:00PM to 9:00PM Monday to Friday
9:00AM to 5:00PM on Saturdays
After School Transportation
Transportation is available to school aged children from their school to the John Millar Development Care Centre.
Subsidy
Participants may qualify for the Alberta Child Care subsidy to help cover the costs of this program.

Complete intake paperwork prior to appointment.
Meet with Employment Advisor.
Attend program orientation.
Eligibility
This program is available exclusively to parents and care givers who will gain or enhance their employment from accessing the service. Employment verification is required.
