For the last 17 years the YMCA has been home to the Living Fit program. The roots of the program were founded at REDI Enterprise and through community collaboration it has grown into a valued part of the YMCA and community.

Living Fit provides a safe, supportive, barrier free, health and wellness opportunity for people with or without disabilities. The key objectives of the program are to:

  1. build strength, endurance, self-esteem and a sense of control in participants
  2. develop sustainable community involvement, mentoring and peer support
  3. promote independence of the participants.

Living Fit is a low impact, progressive exercise program that promotes inclusiveness for people with, but not limited to; multiple sclerosis, cognitive disabilities, spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, fibromyalgia, arthritis, cerebral palsy, stroke and cardic recovery, Parkinson's, and any other physical or mental disabilities.
