From meeting new people and getting active to learning new skills or finding the job—the Y has a variety of ways youth can reach their potential. We believe if given the chance, young people can change our world.

Our portfolio of youth programs expose youth to new ideas, opportunities and passions. From developing leadership skills in the Youth Leadership programs or learning about a new part of Canada through the Youth Exchanges Canada program, we’ve got something for everyone.

Get active or join a team

Being active is not only good for our bodies, but for our souls too! Developing healthy attitudes and behaviours at a young age helps prevent chronic disease. From sports and recreation programs like the YMCA/Steve Nash Youth Basketball League or our youth memberships that include free swim lesson and fitness consultations, we’ve got a range of opportunities for all interests and abilities to get moving!

Go to camp

Camp is unlike any other experience. Fresh air, new opportunities and challenges that encourage youth to learn new things about themselves. When youth participate in camps, they develop confidence and leadership skills as they work together with peers. They also have a whole lot of fun along the way, and create memories that last a lifetime.
