Medicine Hat Toyota will celebrate their 1-year anniversary under new ownership on March 16th. As part of the celebration, they have selected YMCA of Medicine as the charity recipient of funds raised through an online Car Raffle (AGLC Raffle License #570786). Beginning today, tickets are available for the chance to win a fully serviced, pre-owned, 1989 Toyota Corolla with a 2-year maintenance package (donated by Medicine Hat Toyota). The prize package also includes an assortment of gift cards and other items donated by local businesses (total value of approximately $3,500).

All funds raised will support the YMCA of Medicine Hat’s Strong Kids campaign which provides financial assistance to children, youth, adults, seniors, and families to offset the cost of YMCA memberships and/or day camp fees. Proceeds will also be leveraged through the Shaw Birdies for Kids presented by AltaLink program which will provide an additional 50% in matching funds.

Tickets can be purchased online by Alberta residents who are 18 and older for $10 each or 3 for $25: The draw will be made on March 16th at Medicine Hat Toyota.

“The YMCA Strong Kids campaign breaks down financial barriers to ensure all people can access YMCA services, regardless of their financial circumstances. Last year the YMCA provided over $190,000 in Strong Kids support to Medicine Hat and surrounding areas.” said Sharon Hayward, CEO. “We are incredibly thankful for businesses like Medicine Hat Toyota who support our charitable mission.”
