Dear YMCA Child Development Centre Families,
Thank you for your patience during this difficult time. We appreciate the major disruption this situation has caused families and the anxiety it provokes as we all look to plan for the next few months. It is important to us that in this time of crisis, the YMCA remains true to our values of honesty, integrity, respect, responsibility and inclusiveness.
We believe the right thing to do in this situation is refund families any fees that were pre-paid to cover March 16 – 31. Our programs closed as of March 16th and we do not believe families should have to pay for a service they did not receive, especially considering the current situation. The refund amount will be a calculation based on the number of hours your child was registered for/attended between March 1 – 13. Refunds will be returned to your original method of payment (i.e., credit card or EFT) on Friday, March 20th.
Families billed following the subsidy schedule will obviously not incur any charges for March 16 –31.
Please note: the invoice/payments for February childcare for subsidized parents will still be pulled on March 20th as usual.
